Mon Nobi is the musical solo project of Nkem Obi-Melekwe, a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, music producer, & beat maker based out of North Carolina. He creates bite-sized musical moods by singing short poems about life, love, human nature, and more, over dreamy blends of bedroom pop, indie/alternative R&B, lofi rock, indie pop, and electronic beats.

All of Mon Nobi's music is made within the contradictory comfort and confines of his mobile music studio: using mostly Garageband for iOS with the addition of live instruments like guitar, bass, and percussions. With an assortment of songs released through indie label compilation albums; scoring short films, podcasts, and documentaries; and with a number of releases on Bandcamp and Soundcloud, he eventually became an official member of the Z Tapes Records roster with the release of his debut demo EP "Microcosm".

With music serving equally as a passion, an outlet, and a compulsion, Mon Nobi continues to release music in hopes of connecting with like-minded souls and helping to build a community with all those who value creativity, compassion, and the cathartic power of music.
